And the Oscar goes to…I don’t care!
but I don’t buy into the whole celebrity thing
though if I ever met Anderson Cooper I’d probably be somewhat intrigued.
they are just normal people when you take them out of their Oscar De whoever dresses
yes there are some who are very good actors/actresses
and some who are very good producers/musicians….whatever….
but there are many more people you meet in your every day life that are more deserving of awards then actors doing their jobs.
WHO WILL YOU GIVE THE OSCAR TO?
Who will receive the Oscar for being teacher that cares more about her students then some of the students parents do?
Who will receive the Oscar for cleaning up your mess in the park after you “forget” to take your trash with you?
Who will receive the Oscar for fixing your car after carelessly drove over the curb?
Who will receive the Oscar for taking care of your illnesses/ broken bones so your life is more comfortable?
Who will receive the Oscar for helping you with your needs?
Who will receive the Oscar for preparing meals for you when you are unable to?
Who will receive the Oscar for getting your order right at the drive through?
There are an awful lot of “ordinary” people in “ordinary” jobs doing extraordinary things every day…because it is their job and they take pride in doing their job and they do it well and they do it without credit or accolades.
So maybe as you’re getting ready for the Oscars, Academy Awards, Tony Awards or whatever, you could try to take a minute to thank one of the people in your life who isn’t acting…but doing something real, something important for you.
